When you look at the odds, conception is a miracle, even scientifically speaking. It's something like one out of two million. And then there is all the other births to follow. Changing from a girl into a woman. Changing from a boy into a man. And typically characteristic to any birth. It always is painful. Never an easy process. But typically characteristic of the new life, it always is new. Always refreshing. Always awe inspiring. Always eye-opening. Always a new dimension. And it always seems like a miracle. How did something so beautiful get born from this painful process.
We are born into this reality. And then so may times we have the opportunity to give birth to ourselves. Time and time again we can be born again, and again, and again. Experiencing a new relationship. Unlearning a bad habit. Experiencing self forgiveness. Unlearning perfectionism. Accepting a new job offer. Changing careers. Selling your house. Relocating. Learning a new language. Learning to really listen. Simplifying. Realising what really matters. Downscaling. Uplifting the downtrodden. Opening your heart. Allowing yourself to love. To give freely without expecting anything in return. Allowing yourself to love and become an ambassador of life, growth and healing. Allowing yourself to to be loved. Being transparent. Allowing yourself to be vulnerable. Allowing yourself to be known. Allowing yourself to experience the overlapping of two souls. And then who knows... maybe, just maybe...you and your complimentary significant responsible, comitted and caring other soul may just be the proud initiators, creators, king and queen of the miracle called conception. birth.
Between my conception, and the soul conception that will hopefully spring forth from me and my complimentary significant responsible, comitted and caring other, lies a lifetime with many cycles, seasons and changes. A lifetime filled with the ebb and flow of the infinte lifegiving force. A lifetime of mysterious twists and turns. A lifetime of unexplainble events. A lifetime of mystery and wonder...if we are open to it. And what is wonder and mystery other than ...magic!
